    Muppet on eBay

2 years studying law at 'A' Level, 3 years at University studying Criminal Justice BA(hons) with a minor in Civil law. 1 year following ILEX course. Not a massively in-depth legal education, but I feel confident in what I say. And after all that, I work in a warehouse for minimum wage...

    Muppet on eBay

I'd have to say that I agree with El Softus on his point about Contract law being the most straight forward of the all the legal areas. That's not to say that it is straight forward (tis all relative), just the most logical and equitable. If 'A' happens, then 'B' or 'C' must follow... In...

    **** in a Jag

If so, he could have put it to good use on the Jag bloke. Made him Pullover. Boom, and indeed; Boom.

    Sail Rope Rigging Type Experiment.

Sounds rather funky. I know that good ol' B&Q do a range of wire rope/cable in 4mm, 6mm, 10mm (IIRC) as well as a whole bunch of cable fixings: ie - eyelets, pullies, cleats, eye loop making thingies ... Think the 6mm stuff was around £0.70 per meter.

    Footie season is here

*Zzzzzzz - snort* Oh, sorry. Must have dozed off... So what's the 'Off-Side rule' all about then? Yes, of course I'm listening. I always close my eyes and dribble a bit when I'm listening really hard...

    Footie season is here

I hate pro-football and the whole 'my-team's-better-than-your-team-come-one-yooni'ed' crap that goes with it. I'm not gay. (nowt wrong with that, before anyone chips in! :D ) I'm not a woman. It's not that I'd rather be flower arranging or watching some chick flick nonsense...

    Tools you can't do without

bought one of these just to pull up a couple of floor boards in my house. Used it for oodles of tasks since, from tile stripping, nail pulling, light demolition, hoiking up a patio... .. only cost me £2! :D

Block paving / flags over existing concrete path?

Howdy doo. :D As the summer appears to be on its last fart, I was thinking of having a bash at the front yard. There is a concrete path running from the front gate up to the front door and round the side of the house. It's all one, poured slab and is fine and solid - no cracks. Would it...

    Making a shower tray.

I'm fairly sure I can make it completely ridgid. That's no prob. Was just wondering if there was something i was missing from my cunning plan before i embarked upon it. Budgets a bit tight, hence just replacing bath with shower - no wet room. Is there a specific wet-room type of drain I...

    Making a shower tray.

Hi. Need to remove a bath from the MIL's house and replace with a shower. Instead of using a regular stone resin or plastic tray, I was thinking of making one using some 18mm marine ply that I have. The size would be around 90x120ish. If I were to shape it so as to have a low point, tank...

Mixer adapter to connect to my drill

I got a couple of mixing paddles from Lidl a few months ago. £1.99 for an 8mm shafted one and £2.99 for an 10mm shafted one (about the same size as the B&Q £6ish one). 8mm has a smaller head and shorter shaft than the 10mm. Used the larger one for mixing floor tile goo and SLC and the...

    Thank god it's Friday

Just got back from Paphos, Cyprus. Great place (if you like overly touristy). Got there during heatwave in the Med. When the locals are sweating and complaining about the heat, you KNOW its too hot!

    New invention

Bloke i knew living on Anglesey was convinced his SatanNav was trying to kill him! Everytime he was half way across the Menai Bridge, the wee electric bugger would say 'turn left, now'.

Lack of support from the wife

Easy! Work out how long the kitchen will take you to fit. Add a couple of days to your estimate. Tell the wife, in your best 'you-win' voice; 'Ok dear, I'll get a fitter in and you go off and stay with your mother/Centre Parks... I'll go off and stop with a mate whilst the works being...
