    Plasterboard staggered?

Hi I have been boarding up my dormers with pink 12.5mm boards. On front dormer the boards span to centre dormer rafters. Do I continue with seem in middle or do I make more work by adding 3 boards so the seems don't meet. Regards

    Is this bad practice?

This has turned into an academic discussion . I've been told it doesn't need rcd or any further protection and others indicate it does. In layman's terms does it require rcd and mechanical protection according to regs or is it acceptible to leave it as is. Regards

    Is this bad practice?

Chasing wall has to be in safe zones or 50mm depth otherwise need protecting. Again if rcd which most consumers are would that mean the rules don't apply!?

    Is this bad practice?

I've just read If its less than 50mm it needs to be rcd protected. It is so that's that sorted. 17th ammendment consumer units have 2 rcd. Personally I'd drill through joists.

Spot lights in new dormer build

Hi. I've had my gable wall and dormers built. Ceiling is 2.1m high so would like to install spotlights. Have Kingspan in there. Will I have to use fire rated led spot lights? The ones I will be using are extremely slim led and don't get hot at all. Also will have on suite. Do I need...
