Try lowering the stat on boiler,so its not staying on as long,it could be the pump,but properly muck in system,2 bar is ok,just gets to25 when hot due to expansion

It will all be down to d/valve,but if the d/v was gone it wouldnt be operating the m/switches,it seems like it will operate on and off,get new diaprahm and u shold be ok

Appollo are easy boilers to repair as they hardly have any parts to go wrong.I would get your t/c looked at along with your o/heat stat which can be checked easy,so if it is onbe of those parts your bill will be very cheap.I would get it fixed and you may get years from it as they can just plod...

It's not illegal to have or repair them as so many houses stil;l have them.I tell customers to replace them as its not very good for the kids health,the likes of us have drank from lead pipes for years so any damage will be done if any,but when you get the chance get it replaced from the outside...

A can of air is the best way to make sure venturi and tubes are completley clear,as they are very finley set so if the right amount of pressure isnt there it wont fire

Dont really advice pulling the pin as it will properly just pull out all the way.Normally there stuck closed and a little knock with a spanner on the valve body frees it,is the actual trv head ok,if it is and its pushing the pin down when you turn it down,the trv must have gone inside,why not...
