    Fire Door issues -Regulations?

Thanks for that gregers, mmmm, the door is very neat and the carcass is square -so everything is well engineered, but I've been round to have a look at the door again and I think the reason for the door sticking as it closes, is that the leading edge of the door is catching the brush on the...

    visqueen or bituthene??????

Hi again, Sorry for the delay replying. Got it all sorted Thanks. The Building Inspector thought we wanted a full tanking system incorporating the 'retaining wall and the extension cavity walls. But the 9 inch block wall is purely a retaining wall and the extension walls protected as normal regs.

partly renewing Sapele base for patio doors

Hello There, My patio door was installed about 30 years ago (Everest) and still functions great. But even though I've treated the hardwood surround regularly, the wooden base has rotted in the corners. I've cut off a 2 and a half inch (2 1/2") strip along the whole base and obtained a new length...

Siting/Location of Boiler in new installation

Siting/Location of Boiler in new installation

Yeah I agree, that's why one of my options was the kitchen, but it will be so far away from the Bathrooms -especially the attic one and the shower (eg) pipes would take a while before they got hot...but is that a problem worth accepting to get the vent out easily if it's sited in the kitchen.
