NO Belt Floor Sanders for hire in the North East!!!

Thanks very much for the replies. I'll try asking PlantTool about delivery but like you say I reckon the delivery costs on top of the £154 hire is going to be way out of my tiny budget! Looks like its going to have to be lots of hours with a sore back, knees & everything else using a hand...

NO Belt Floor Sanders for hire in the North East!!!

Hi there I've just laid a reclaimed Mahogany Parquet floor in my house which now needs sanding. I've read from the experts such as "Wood You Like" that you really need a belt floor sander, not the Drum type as they leave lines etc. I've been on every single Tool Hire website that I can find in...

    Thermostatic Cartridge faulty or not?

Well finally tested the water temp and got the following results: When turned all the way down to 30 degrees the actual temp was 34 degrees. When turned all the way up to 45 degrees the actual temp was 39 degrees. So a 6 degree variation from 34 to 39, dose this sound like a valid case...

    Thermostatic Cartridge faulty or not?

Forgot to take a thermometer with me round the house today! Will take one tomorrow & give the water temp range a test

    Thermostatic Cartridge faulty or not?

Hi thanks for all the replies! Was thinking I should do this, will try it today & let you know. Must admit I've not tried, the bathroom is in my new house that I'm completely renovating so only tried the water on my arm so far I'm afraid. There's no doors in the house yet & if anyone...

    Thermostatic Cartridge faulty or not?

Hi there I've just installed a shower with a thermostatic mixer. I made sure I followed all of the manufacture's instructions regarding hot & cold feed, incoming pressure & temp etc. The shower's temp control knob shows 38 degrees as default setting and can also go up to 45 or down to 30 degrees...

    Any particular concealed cister?

Thanks for the reply & link :D So looks like I'll try and get a cistern with a longer hose already fitted rather than extending one. Will it also need to be a cistern specifically for high level, or will I possibly need some sort of flow restrictor etc? Dont fancy a log tsunami!

    Any particular concealed cister?

Hi I need to fit a concealed cistern & now I come to think of it I've never fitted one! It will be aprox 1.9M from floor level & set around 500mm to the right of the toilet. I'd also like the flush button to be about a meter away from the cistern. Will any concealed cistern do or do I need a...

    Dewalt DW733 thicknesser ON/OFF swithch

Ahh no volt release, I'd been trying to find out t he correct name :) Yeah I need to find out if its all OK really but it instantly trips out my house when I turn it on. The lad gave me a quick demo when I picked it up and it didn't trip his lecy, I'm guessing his little old house may not...

    Dewalt DW733 thicknesser ON/OFF swithch

Yeah the tripping issue was worring me more than the switch to be honest! Anyone got any ideas as to what the most likely cause is? Bearing in mind that 2 bits of wire have been used to bypass the non existent ON/OFF switch

    Dewalt DW733 thicknesser ON/OFF swithch

Hi, I got a well used second hand Dewalt DW733 the other day with no ON/OFF switch. The lad a got it off told me he just used the mains plug switch to power it up or off as he had connected up the wiring behind where the switch would go. Obviously I realise this is not to clever so plan on...
