Iv taken the vent off waste pipes under bathroom floor and up a cupboard into attic and through gable or roof before now in waste pipe just to get a vent to outside , If you dont shower wastes often suffer and let smells out

It can be boxed in but a small vent in box is best . on top where not seen is fine so ii can be pulled in if required, vent is normal 110mm like stack but reduced down to 50mm waste pipe will do

If motor moving it would close the port to hot water only and not heat the rads ?

I'd try the motor 1st If you isolate power & remove syncron off the plate if the motor is jammed it should free the micro switch, New motor is a cheaper fix. worth checking out 1st
