    What was the final price? Slate tiles cost about £3 each so 15 would be £60 for the lot. Then £300 for labour, which is £75 per hour per man. That's more than my dentist earns!

    I'll soon be opening up my fireplace for a stove to go in. Will a 88mm single leaf steel lintel will be OK. Or should I use a concrete lintel. The lintel will be at least 300mm above the stove.

    In the utility room the washing machine, boiler waste water and sink share a 40mm pipe. There's another separate 40mm pipe which has a dish washer and sink on it. The two 40mm pipes meet each other outside on the gulley grid. Thanks for you quick responses.
