Is this quote ok?

Hi Everyone

I'm wanting a porch built on the front of my 1930s semi. The porch sizes are 4foot by about 5foot (internal space) I'm supplying the window and door, but for pitched roof, all completely finished except for electrics I've been told roundabout £4500. Is that good or bad?

Have you priced up all the materials? Has the builder said how many men and how many days it will take? Put the two together and that will indicate the profit margin.

Get three written quotes for any building work.

Once you've obtained another two quotes you'll know if £4.5k is good or bad.
