I have nothing to turn the external stopcock off with. Are they all the same type? I note Toolstation has the keys?

Ok, there are two different sizes here. The Flexi on the what might be 15mm is the corroded one.

Will one of these fit into that pipe where the current isolation valve is? The pipe is smaller OD than the other pipe.

    Replacing bath - water connections

At times I wonder why I try anything in this house! The stopcock is only slightly reducing the water flow coming into the house.

    Replacing bath - water connections

Just purchased 15mm to 3/4" stainless flexi. Here's hoping it fits. It must have been 10-12 years ago it was fitted, and I recall he had a problem getting it to seal. In the end someone he knows that's a plumber came and told him it was imperial. He might have put a 3/4 olive in it, it vaguely...

Will I be able to undo that connection and retighten it with the new flexi or will the olive need replacing?

    Replacing bath - water connections

Thanks. I'm going to replace the bath this week. Pressure and flow are really good to be honest. Any suggestions on what Flexi would fit that 3/4" pipe?

    Replacing bath - water connections

Our existing bath is starting to let water come down the edges, and the tiles around the shower are starting to come off so feel it's time to replace it. Only one local plumber contacted showed any interest in fitting a new one for me but didn't turn up to give me a quote, so think I'm going...

    Jointing compound for sandstone patio

A few years ago we got an Indian sandstone patio laid and they used Easyjoint for grouting. The warranty we were given has expired now and the Easyjoint is just turning to dust and coming out of the joints so I want to regrout the patio. Anyone got any recommendations? I'm now expert and...

    Sandstone patio slab rocking

We've a sandstone patio and I've noticed the Easyjoint that was applied to the joints is breaking down and also a couple of slabs have a very slight rock on them. Any advice of the best way to stop the rock? The base is solid beneath the slab I lifted. Will this need knocking out and...

New shed allowing water through the tongue and groove shiplap

I asked them to confirm when I will get my money and how much. At which point a manager at the manufacturer got involved offering me either a discount or a better shed. He said the barn I have is their most popular model and they hardly have any issues. I explained I'm not interested, I just...

New shed allowing water through the tongue and groove shiplap

Hi Ken, I agree. They're citing the tanalised timber being the issue, but I don't believe it is so want my money back.

Installing new oven ring main without making a mess. Possible?

He says it's 6mm cable, so will provide a new breaker

New shed allowing water through the tongue and groove shiplap

The manufacturer is now offering me a replacement building in heavier, none tanalised timber. Given it'll still be the same design, I'm not convinced it will be acceptable. Plus I really wanted the pressure treatment for longevity

Installing new oven ring main without making a mess. Possible?

Spoke to an electrician earlier, he's coming to have a look tomorrow. But he says it needs a 6mm feed. Am I doing to get the same response from all electricians?

Installing new oven ring main without making a mess. Possible?

So if it's say 4mm cable, and the oven is either 5.9 or 6.4kW depending on what we get. Would that require a 32A breaker?

Installing new oven ring main without making a mess. Possible?

Do you only ever fit a breaker to suit the rating of the appliance? I.e. current oven is 4.4kW, which I believe is about 18A, so you fit a 20A breaker
