Advice given on electirc shower and pump

Hi, I posted ages ago about my ongoing shower problem. To recap have a triton 9.5 w electric shower. Cart electricion did the wiring. We did the plumbing. Plumbed from the rising main in the kitchen, through the wall to the bathroom next door, along side the bath and up the wall to the shower...

I think I've well and truely bought the wrong shower - Help

Hiya, At the shower inlet it is about 1 minute. Also just wanted to ask, I've been searching threads and saw the one about checking the filter by the solenoid valve? The one I've been checking is the little pipe with the silver mesh inside, that is capped with a plastic nut next to the inlet...

I think I've well and truely bought the wrong shower - Help

Hiya, yes, have checked it every time we have had the thing apart and its very clean. The cold water from the kitchen tap can fill a nine ltr bucket in about 30 seconds. Have also made sure the stop cock and isolation screw are fully open, and that there are no leaks or kinks in the pipes. Marth

I think I've well and truely bought the wrong shower - Help

Well I posted this thread quite a while ago now about the low pressure light on my Triton electric shower flicking on as soon as I turned on the unit, and you all gave me some very good advice. It's taken a while due t money and time but we finally replaced all the flexible hoses and the thing...

I think I've well and truely bought the wrong shower - Help

Hi, thanks so much, you have given me hope that all is not lost. I have some compression joints here so will try them first, though will have to buy more pipe as it's obviously too short now, given that the flexible pipes were longer. :) Marth

I think I've well and truely bought the wrong shower - Help

Hi, thanks, so would it be better to replace the flexible joints with elbow compression joints, or have I too many joints full stop? If so is there anything I can do? Marth

I think I've well and truely bought the wrong shower - Help

Oh dear, yes those bendy pipes, of the lenght shown the 2 metres are of copper pipe. I only got the flexible hoses as I heard the less bends the better. Marth

I think I've well and truely bought the wrong shower - Help

Hi a bendy pipe from the shower down to the bath with a compression joint, then another bendy pipe, then about 2 metres or a bit less alongside the bath. Then another bendy pipe attached to copper pipe with another compression joint. That pipe runs about 1.5 mts to under the kitchen sink.

I think I've well and truely bought the wrong shower - Help

Ok checked it now, so its; 30 seconds to fill the bucket from the kitchen sink 1 min 10 seconds from the pipe disconnected from where it fits onto the shower and 2 mins from the shower head itself, when fully turned to cold. Cleaned the showerhead and the inlet pipe, both were clean and...

I think I've well and truely bought the wrong shower - Help

Hiya, thanks for your replies. Sorry I didn't reply earlier but I've just got in from work. The joint I meant is the top one. I will disconnect the pipe from the shower as soon as I can and test the rate there. From the output of the shower when fully turned to cold I'm guessing it won't be...

I think I've well and truely bought the wrong shower - Help

Hi thanks for your reply. The bathroom is next door to the kitchen, with the bath on the otherside of the dividing wall. we ran a pipe down the wall from the shower unit then alongside the bath, used a bendy pipe to go around the corner, through a gap in the wall and then straight along the back...

I think I've well and truely bought the wrong shower - Help

Many thanks for your reply. So I had capped the t bar pipe under the bath, when I reconnected to the mains under the sink. So I could just uncap this and attach the pump, then from the pump reattach the pipes to the shower and get the electrician to wire it up? Suz

I think I've well and truely bought the wrong shower - Help

Thanks for that. So I would need the Stuart Turner Monsoon Single negative head 2 bar pump, and I would need to connect it to the tank fed pipe that runs into the hot water tank which is in the flat. I did first have it connected to the tank fed cold water pipe under the bath, before it fed the...

I think I've well and truely bought the wrong shower - Help

Hiya I think the tank is at least 7 metres about me, maybe more. But would I still be stuck as I couldn't run independant pipe work up to it? What do other people who live in flats do? Do they all use the triton40i or showers like it? marth

I think I've well and truely bought the wrong shower - Help

Boght and installed a Beleize Triton electric shower 9.5 v, connected to the mains pipe under the kitchen sink after the stop cock. Had to attach to the pipe coming up to teh taps as there is no outside stopcock (live in high rise flat). So there is not enough pressure. Someone recommended...

Another low pressure light shower query.

Hiya, thanks for replying. I've got a feeling it's the pressure. I suppose I may have to buy a pump and connect to the cold water tank. Though saying that, if I buy one and its still cold I would have to concede it's the shower it'self. Marth

Another low pressure light shower query.

Thanks for replying. Oh I don't know. We did the plumbing first, had the water turned off at the isolator when the electrican came to wire it up. He was the first person to turn it on. Is there a way to tell if it's burned out? Marth

Another low pressure light shower query.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I've posted over on plumbing too. We followed all the sizing instructions for the pipes, so think we are fine there. Marth

Thanks for answering. I will google what that means :D Would our only option be to connect to the cold water tank (on the roof at least 6 mtrs if not more above), then fit a pump? Marth

Another low pressure light shower query.

Hi, We have recently installed an electic shower. It is a Triton Bezique 11 9.5 w. An electrican did the wiring and we did the plumbing. We live in a tower block on the 16th floor. The water pressure is apparently over 1bar - which is recommended and the water pressure has always seemed...
