    Lovely noseall, really helpful, just one thing mate, why the 17degree cut? Was that just an example, the tiles are Redland 49ers min pitch 17.5. If I do a cut 17 degree and plumb it at the low end won't the top be a different pitch. Cheers governor

    Heavy tiles on dot n dab plasterboard

    Hi Al. Personally i would build the 2inch wall, that way you can get good fixings into the wall, plug and screw with 90mm screws. The plasterboard on adhesive probably would withhold but it depends on how its been stuck ie... how much adhesive was used and was it dotted every 12inches...
