    Yes no Isolating valves fitted at the time, The issue is that the taps and the 90 degree elbow joints are offset, im assuming the plumber must have bent the tails to fit....If I were to buy a tap with flexible ends could i cut tails about 100mm from the elbow bend and then attach the flexible...

    The old mixer tap neck has just sheared, its no suprise as its 17 years old, so we need to replace the whole tap assembly asap. its plumbed in as per pics. If possible id like to try it myself, perhaps from the elbow joint to the new tap fitting with a flexible hose. What would you expert chaps...

    so back to basics, the panel activates the sounder/strobe by switching the -ve side of the circuit (ie a constant +ve to the sounder/strobe). as opposed to a standard house lighting circuit where the Live is switched and the Neutral solid back to the board. apologies for my lamens terms.....:unsure:

    Its a flashguard...As a side note, and please excuse my lack of knowledge, but whats the reason they call it the -VE Trigger/Tamper/strobe. Is it simply a case that the switch wire from the panel is on the negative side of the circuit.

    Our Bathroom door wont stay open, ie once opened and let go of, it just closes itself. I tired removing the hinge pins and putting a very slight kink in them (A common idea from YouTube) and that worked, but after a while the hinges started to creak annoyingly as the door tried to close itself...

    Having laid a 6mm WBP ply subfloor in our bathroom ready for the new vinyl floor covering as the missus calls it, its Lino to me.....Is it a good idea to seal the ply, especially the joints/edges around the bath/toilet area with a diluted pva to, in theory give it extra protection from the water...

    Got the Jigsaw out anyway, to cut out the toilet base. I personally dont own a jigsaw, I use my 25 year old 110v one I carry on my van, which always has to be acompanied by the heavy Transformer, so Im looking to invest in one for myself, What are your expert opinions on Battery powered ones...

    Laying a ply floor, cutting straight lines is simple with my Bosch oscillating tool, but cutting out shapes and rounded corners is near impossible to do neatly......or am I missing something, do any of you experts use them for cutting out rounded shapes ?
