Ive just layed 6mm ply on my kitchen floor and was wondering if i can lay laminate straight on top....its flat with no bounce .....or should i still use underlay

Looks like im wrong with that last post .....however as my last oven was a floor standing double oven with hob im pretty sure the new one will be fine....ill be testing everything properly before use

No rcd......its the old wire type fuses. Im sure i can buy a tripper from b&q that just slots in though. ...not 100% but will look into it

The leak was around the first chimney area at the bottom right of the photo ....i painted the seams with thomsons roof repair as part of the seam could be lifted by hand........i ended up doing the seams all around the chimney area and so far so good Thanks for upping the photo

I went up to fix a leak and found this ....The previous owner had paid for half the roof to be relaid a year or two back. ...my leak was actually behind where i was standing ..thankfully it was just a gap in the felt join .......they have basicly laid new felt around the edges and in the middle...

For laminate i use a hand saw, hammer, floor laying tool, masking tape, a sharp stanley knife and a pencil......never had any probs and always end up with a perfect job.....i tried a jig saw once but it tore the edge to bits............a better jig saw might have done a better job though
