    Wires clarity

You're right. Ok will check tomorrow as we are out now. But even if it is neutral, I will have to find a way to extend in a live from the box opposite.

    Wires clarity

Thanks, but connector block wire we established is not neutral because this is the same that goes into the original box. I also saw on this side that it has the red wire cut which means that it is the same black wire which is being used as a live extended.

Ok thanks all. I do want a socket in there and there is enough room for it to fit but if it's too complicated will leave it. So I opened up the 3 gang switch. Hard to get clear pictures but I tried my best. So attached are three pictures. One from the top of the switch, one from the bottom and...

    Wires clarity

Thanks all! So some more information. The black wire comes from the back of the box and blue wire from the top. Where the black wire comes from, I can definitely see a wire cut off (looks red). The blue wire is definitely by itself. Behind where is switch is located and on the other side of the...

    Wires clarity

Thanks. So first apologies, I now realise that it's not possible to simply change it into a single socket. But I almost did, I thought the blue was neutral. But then I reversed my steps as it dawned on me that it cannot be if they terminated in the same plastic casing. Hazard averted. But what I...

Should also mention this switch is a spare, the switch itself was not wired in. The wires were both in a single plastic connector.

    Wires clarity

I want to switch a single switch to a single socket. On opening the plate, I found a black and blue wires both connected to a single plastic connector shown in picture. These were both inserted from the same end too. The wires come from different points into the box. Can someone advise which is...

    Shower valve mixer lever

Hi The temperature lever in the attached shower valve has snapped off, the small bit that you can move the temperature dial with. I found a similar part here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Aqualisa-Shower-Temperature-Control-Assembly/dp/B07V57S5BW. Is it easy to swap this over or will I have to...

    Panel electric radiator controls

I have two of these flat panel electric radiators for which the controls don't seem to be working properly and I have lost the manual. The radiators work at times but I am not able to set them to work continuously (even with thermostat dials at max). Does anyone know how to adjust these or use...

    Under cabinet lights

Thanks, the existing transformer is not for LEDs i dont think as these are regular 20w halogen bulbs. Any suggestions what I could swap with? Sorry @Taylortwocities recommended the same one I posted but I am guessing this wont work.

    Under cabinet lights

There are two under cabinet lights so likely a single transformer. Is it better to swap with this? https://amzn.eu/d/1nA6zEs

    Under cabinet lights

Thanks. Those Knightsbridge ones are sold out. I could get these https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/KLTWW.html Is it easy to swap the whole unit? I am comfortable working with electrics.

    Under cabinet lights

Thanks to you both. Attaching holder picture. I want to try to swap out the bulb and holder bracket ideally. The wire has two small pins that the halogen inserts into. I can get the bulbs but not sure if i can find the right holder/bracket.

    Towel rail leaking

Success! Thanks so much terry and stuckinarut! Repacking the gland worked and I learned a lot along the way. Last question. The other side of the rail has this valve with a screw head (picture attached). There is a very very slow leak here - a drop forms over 3-5 mins. Any suggestions for this...
