tried some of them hinge things you suggested but weren't that great so went to screw fix and bought new hinges for £6 fitted them and it closed the gap and no more breeze coming through thanks for all the help

hi yes its the double port not the triple...went and bought 1 from wicks and just fitted and wired it and now I have hot water thanks again

its a baxi solo dont think its a combi boiler
