Thanx for the reply. just checked the ceiling rose wiring and it all appears ok. good connections. above in loft all ok too. definately lost the upstairs lights as the bulb was put in. but fuse ok. baffled now. any further advise? Thanx Colin

the unit is labelled wrong, No 4 read downstairs lights, should have read downstairs ring....(wrote in pen) No 6 labelled lights and protected correctly with 5amp so sorry for time wasting gents. Thanx

not proved if its labelled wrong yet. didnt want to mess last night as it was getting dark, in work now but when i get in later will pull the fuse and check lights downstairs dont work. would be a bit naughty if the unit fuse positions was labelled wrong. would really appreciatte advise...

What height from the floor, or rule of thumb eg 2/3rds, 3/4, up from floor, is used to position wall lights. dont want to have them fitted then think, too low...........too high. any guidance would be appreciated. thanx

I use multi surface cleaner or star drops. I dont know the manufacturers name of the flooring as it was layed when i moved in. Ive tried some laminate floor cleaners from the DIY stores but just get the same dull cloudy finish. Thanx.

What is the best cleaner for laminate floor? Every product i have tried leaves a dull scuffed cloudy finish. If i use a floor polish it becomes slippy and unsafe. Thanx for any advise in advance

Thanx for the advise It is the pan spigot thats has a very slight drip, and it is a 14 degree multikwik connector. any advise on a better make?
