What size waste for two bathroom basins into one waste?

I thought that about the access - so why do I need to fit a running trap or alternative if the basins already have a trap each?

    skimming over plaster ceiling

Doesn't really look like artex - it's a very very shallow depth, that's why I thought it was just a mess that was made with the plaster! How is a crack prepared properly? Is it cut right back and taped over and then plastered?

Bathroom boarding, what method to choose

Ooops! Meant to say I'm tiling direct to the plasterboard. Is the floor not supposed to be sealed then? Good job I haven't started it!

    Fitting new door lining kit

Trying to re-instate an old bathroom door that was covered by the previous owner when an alternative entrance was made to adapt for wheelchair user. Have taken off the old plasterboard covering and they have used 75mm thick frame to support the gap. If I remove this (which I haven't done yet)...

    skimming over plaster ceiling

For an inexperienced plasterer, what is the easiest product to use to skim over my bathroom ceiling to make it flat? At the minute the ceiling appears to have been plastered and then 'rolled across' or something to create a shallow pattern of sorts. I just want it flat. And I have some...

Bathroom boarding, what method to choose

I am doing my bathroom at the moment and after looking at numerous posts in this very helpful site have decided to go with: Aquapanel around the shower/bath area which is tanked with BAL WP1 and outside of the main wet area tile onto plasterboard sealed first with BAL Bond SBR. The floor is...

What size waste for two bathroom basins into one waste?

I intended to run the waste pipe down the stud wall and then under the floor so there will be no access to these traps. If each basin has it's own trap anyway, do I need to fit another one further down the line?

    tiling to unfinshed wall?

Well, it's done, so I'll risk it and see.The Granite tiles are only 1-and-a-bit wide (small toilet) and are only 1 metre high on the back wall. I've also used the granite on the floor (1.1sqm) Large format ceramics are going on the other wall. At present all looks well with the granite tiles...

    tiling to unfinshed wall?

Got a small stand-alone toilet room off the upstairs landing and the top coat plaster was all blown so taken it off back to the rough undercoat plaster Can I tile direct to this, or do I need to skim a new coat of plaster on first? If I dot/dab plasterboard instead can I tile direct to...

    Back to wall toilet fitting

cast soil pipe sticks out 3" (75mm) and the toilet outlet is set 220mm deep from outside edge of toilet. This fitting extends from 150mm-340mm so with 220mm hidden by the toilet it will leave 120mm (5") extension for me to be able to pull the toilet away from the wall without disconnecting...

    Back to wall toilet fitting

No cut-out, Leakydave. Tamz - Does seem nearer 5" diameter soil pipe that is protruding from the wall, so assume a 4" flexible connector such as this will fit inside it... http://www.h-i-e.co.uk/acatalog/McAlpine_WC-F23R.html#ag55

    Back to wall toilet fitting

Another point - the soil pipe is cast iron. Once the end is tidied up will the flexible pan connector fit straight in or is there another adapter required to fit?

That's great Tamz, thanks for that. Gotta tile the floor and walls so plently of opportunity to get everything straight. Lunat - bin it not an option (but made me laugh!) Cheers all
