I don't get why this has started now and why it happens when you turn on any of the taps or shower mixers. Maybe a simple explaination. I have one joystick type tap.

Thanks. Got a question on adding the inhibitor via a towel rad in the bathroom. Each time i put some inhibitor through the top it keeps coming out. Ive closed both iso valve on the rad and im putting the inhibitor through the top screw. What am i going wrong / not doing?

Hi, I have a one bottle of Sentinel X100 and one Fernox F1 (both superconcentrates). Question: Do i only need one or can i put both in (mix them) in my system via a rad? IF i only need one, which one is better?

Ive also been trying to stain / dye part of the banister - which is causing another headache. Im not sure which type of wood it is (maple) i think. Its close grained and it goes a orangey colour when water is applied to it. When i apply a water stain or dye, the colour looks very dark...

But the varnish was sanded down (pretty much to bare wood).

The banister originally has a coat of varnish which was sanded down.

It was dulux undercoat and primer water base with dulux oil based top coat. The under and top coat are coming off.

Painted onto wood. It was sanded down and cleaned. I used a roller rather than a brush to paint the satin. Not sure if makes a difference.

Is the Wickes acrylic water based primer/undercoat ok. Just wondering - dont want to go through all this and then find out its crap. Or shall i use Dulux water based primer (non acrylic)?

A few questions, if someone can help............ Can i ask why you stated using Oil based primer? Is oil based satin prone to yellowing after a couple of years? Can i use a oil based primer then a water based top coat or vice versa? Many thanks in advance
