Pressure testing a new fitting does not guarantee it will not fail in the future, & in my experience, fitted properly or not, a lot of the grab rings fail over time. It's just my opinion...

Hi, it's Polyorc pipe used in the 70s when there was a shortage of copper. Philmac do couplings so you can fit 15mm copper pipe with their couplings. Ask at any plumbers merchants.

Hi, to do it would mean plumber would need to know exact dimensions of where shower waste hole is in your tray. To do that he would need tray in place, usually you would fit tray & waste & board out your floor around this.
