    first off, can you take off the thermostatic top (the big white bit) with this off you'll see a small pin this should move in and out freely, if not get to it with a pair of pliers( gently though you dont want to pull it out).

    have you bled the radiators? could be air. what sort of pump is it? can you take the end cap out and check operation while there is power on to it? (to prove it works, it might spin freely by hand but still be faulty).

    that will be over heat protection, indicating poor flow through the appliance, check your pump is running and you might need to get your plumber back...

    Removing border tiles

    you can try scraping out the grout between the ones you want out and those that are staying or around the offending tiles back to masonry, then prise the first tile out with a screwdriver, then you can get in with an old paint scraper between the tiles and wall

    yeah, ive got 240v between live and neutral and live and earth. Power comes into the appliance, through a small electronic/solid state filter then straight into the main pcb. i did swap the wires/polarity on the out going side of the filter but the fault remained...

    can anyone help? i have a potterton promax 30 he plus and it is showing a fault that the live and neutral are reversed. i tried swapping them over but it made no differance, checked the power and all is fine..should i change the pcb??
