potterton boiler fault

can anyone help? i have a potterton promax 30 he plus and it is showing a fault that the live and neutral are reversed. i tried swapping them over but it made no differance, checked the power and all is fine..should i change the pcb??

Don't know if these are similar to the older Baxi combi's, where they had a 'polarity' unit (for want of a better expression) that could go t*ts up and cause this fault.

Sorry I'm guessing at this :rolleyes:
 
yeah, ive got 240v between live and neutral and live and earth.
Power comes into the appliance, through a small electronic/solid state filter then straight into the main pcb. i did swap the wires/polarity on the out going side of the filter but the fault remained...

for info, i replaced the controller/pcb and now the boiler works fine.
