    Vaillant EcoMax 835/2 f25 and f32 faults

Hi, I have followed some info online for checking I assume what speed the boiler is trying to set the fan to - d33 versus actual speed - d34, the former is positive, latter is zero.. also there is a sort of hum coming from the controls.. Regards, chaoticj

Hi hertsboilers, When you say EV, that is the expansion vessel right? The PRV that is the Pressure Reducing Valve? What could cause it to give the code that the fan isn't working? Many thanks, chaoticj

    Vaillant EcoMax 835/2 f25 and f32 faults

Hi, Have bought a house and inherited a Vaillant EcoMax 835/2 boiler, about 10 years old. Seemed to be working at first. However it started to give f25 faults and now alternates between f25 and f32. You can clear the fault and then it might work, but sometimes it takes 3/4 attempts. When set...

Kitchen with pitched roof - making ceiling vaulted with skylights?

Hi, I don't know if this is a daft idea so please tell me if it is. Our kitchen was constructed a few years after the main house which is an 1846 mid terrace. The ceiling, I am not sure if it is original but it is sloped towards one end of the room. You can see outlines in it of what I presume...

Does anyone have a link to the type of filler I'd be best using please? Thanks for the advice JobAndKnock, I think they probably will pry off. When I mentioned to the neighbour that originally stripped and painted the door - he basically thought I was a bit mad to talk about prying bits of the...

Haha, thanks - I will manually clean the trap out and then try one of these hair catcher/bath strainers.. no point in over engineering a solution and definitely want to avoid any blockages further along in the system! Thanks for all the help!

Oh and what is the bit at the bottom on the bath trap that you linked to? Is this a cleaning eye that would normally be blanked off?

Bath Trap McAlpine Bottle Trap Getting Clogged with Hair

Hi Rob, Cheers! Thought not.. do you reckon I would need to adjust any of the pipework coming from the bottle trap if I wanted to replace with a proper bath trap? Would this help with the long hair issue? :) Thanks a lot, cj. [/url]

Toilet Cistern Small Trickle of Water Into Pan Constantly

Hi, Just to update the thread, it was the flush valve - the rubber seal was wavy/perished creating the slow leak from cistern to pan. Replaced with a Fluidmaster flush valve part 550073, annoying job due to lack of room to manoeuvre, found out the toilet cistern was fixed to the wall with...

Toilet Cistern Small Trickle of Water Into Pan Constantly

Hi JohnD, As far as I'm aware the water trickles all the time, every now and then we hear a noise that lasts a couple of seconds which I believe is the toilet drawing more water into the cistern, presumably to replace the water that has gradually trickled out. The picture shows as high as...

Toilet Cistern Small Trickle of Water Into Pan Constantly

Hi, Have an issue with the toilet; firstly a few seconds after you had flushed it, a trickle of water would go from the cistern to the pan. After a while it stopped doing this, however I've noticed that there is constantly a small trickle of water from the cistern to the pan. I've taken a...
