    Gas hob/Electronic Ignition connection query.

I have (I believe) a 45A fuse in the newly fitted Consumer unit feeding via 6mm t&e into THIS wall mounted above worktop height http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Images/Products/size_3/CB4520SLASH1.JPG feeding into something like THIS wall mounted beneath worktop height...

    Gas hob/Electronic Ignition connection query.

Really? I think I do but then again I am asking for advice on here which I was hoping would be provided but I am perhaps not explaining myself too well. Is it permissable (under part 'P') to connect a 6mm T&E + a 2.5mm T&E to the same 45A Cooker Connection Unit (The one put in place by the...

    Gas hob/Electronic Ignition connection query.

Ok. But to save the cost of yet another cooker control unit would it not be OK to run 6mm direct to cooker from the spur box but also to connect a 13a supply from the spur, then to a single unswitched socket which I plug the hob into?

    Gas hob/Electronic Ignition connection query.

OK. Would that be by way of a 30A Choc Block with the 13a wire poked into one side of said choc block?

    Gas hob/Electronic Ignition connection query.

But I already have a switched 30A cooker control unit/Mains socket on the wall feeding 6mm to a spur for the cooker. I just think it a bit unsightly to extend the 3core from the hob and poke it up the back of the worktop to plug into the socket and would obviously prefer a more discreet...

Thanks for the speedy responses. If the cooker requires the 6mm feed direct (The one we are considering is a Samsung costing around £400 which is a DUAL oven (Not double)...

    Gas hob/Electronic Ignition connection query.

Hi, I am about to replace the cooker (Not bought yet but think I prefer hard wired cookers to 13a) with a wired in single oven using 6mm cable directly connected to cooker switch/socket as existing via a spur off below worktop) Is there any way that I can connect the hob ignition to the...

    Faulty Aquarius 1100 WM63

Hi. I just obtained, second hand, a hardly used Aquarius 1100 WM63. The waste was completely gunked up and the elderly chap probably gave up on it rather than call someone in to repair it so it is like new. Cleared that out and did a rinse and it seemed perfect. Then I got it home and...

    Different windows.

Hi All, I hate plastic windows with a vengeance but if forced thru cost to have them in my new build I might consider black. trouble is that I have heard of these having probs because they absorb the heat and distort/creak. Any views on this? Hardwood is extremely costly and it seems...

I'm looking for one of these too. B&Q have a new range called Mac Allister. They do a huge 12" double bevel for just 145.00. I would like to know if anyone has heard of them or know which saw it is based on. This one - http://www.toolmix.com/browse/product.asp?gid=210&pid=72520...

    chain saws

Hi, Must say that I am considering oner of these EVIL tools that sell by the millions. Has ANYONE on here witnessed the aftermath of an accident? I realise that IF it happened it'd be nasty but so too is crashing my Motorbike and that wasn't as bad as all that. I have just had...
