Last night, at 2.45am I happened to be up (dont ask, late night) and noticed that the pressure from all taps in the house was very low...not much more than a weak dribble... After about 5 mins of being worried I suddenly heard the WC cistern filling up, and checked and all taps were fine again...

as i thought. oh well, better just sit tight and hope for the best. if and when the units come crashing down i'll have to think then about ripping up the whole wall and putting wood behind the units instead.

I want to confirm that Cowboy builders fitted a (suitable) steel where they said they did. The steel should be under the rear-facing wall of a back bedroom, above our extended open-plan kitchen. I do have the LABC Completion Certificate, but the application was done on a Building Notice...

Glazing firm left a gap inside, where windows meet the wall. About 3mm wide and up to 2cm deep. There's a whooshing sound when it's windy and a slight breeze. Any tips what's the best stuff to use to seal it? (available from e.g. Screwfix, B&Q etc)
