    I was thinking to finish the edge once cut with some smaller tiles similar to the photo below. The shower wouldn't be used often (just to wash sand off feet), so there won't be much water.

    Yes, I'll be using the existing holes. So as the existing holes aren't that close to the "plank" edges it should be ok?

    I have a new door. It currently has mass produced decorative door nails which I wish to replace with these hand forged nails. They however have a wide nail width and I'm worried they may split the wood. Is this likely? The holes where they will be driven aren't that close to the edge...

    It's just from a dripping tap over a period of 8 months. Hard water area and limescale I guess. I've added some new photos. The tiles are spanish terracotta "Rhondda" type tiles. Thanks

    Leaking tap caused this damage over a few months. Tried a product called Agua Fuerte which is a mild acid cleaner but no luck. Any ideas apart from re-tiling? Thanks
