Cut curve shape into existing terracotta patio tiles.

I'd like to cut a section of a patio away to reveal what i expect will be soil below. The soil section will then be filled with pebbles and act as a natural drain for shower water.

Is it possible to cut a nice curved "s" shape in the tiles shown in the picture below or will they just split or shatter? Something like the shape shown in the picture.

An angle grinder with diamond blade will do it but I don't think it will look very nice. Neither do you want a load of water over your foundations.
 
I was thinking to finish the edge once cut with some smaller tiles similar to the photo below.

The shower wouldn't be used often (just to wash sand off feet), so there won't be much water.
