    non paying customers

Its happened to me twice.Took both cases to the small claims court and won both cases, still waiting to be paid out for one of them though because i had to put a charge on his house. Go to your local county court and explain the situation and they will give you the neccassary papers to get the...

    no fines houses

Thanks for the reply, i had thought of this and it is still an option, but it would mean cutting back the plasterboard inside to fit the spreader plates and ruining the decorations in two bedrooms.

    no fines houses

i've got a small pitched roof to construct in place of the existing flat roof on the rear of a property. The problem is that the house is of "no fines" construction, so impossible to drill a hole to get fixings for the wallplates. The only solution i can think of is to drill right through the...

    Installing Velux flashing

Depends what sort of flashing you've got . If you have several pieces of flashings (soakers) these are fitted individually with each course of slate. The other type is a long flashing with a strip of foam down the length of it which the tiles or slates sit on and compress the foam.

    Velux Window Installation

The roofing felt should be folded up the sides of the velux before the flashings are fitted on all four sides. It sounds in your query that they have tucked the felt downwards into the velux apeture. Ideally the felt should go over the rear flashing but the flashing sits on top of the laths so...
