im only the man to put the boiler in,, i know the guy has spent thousands on filtration systems etc and he has some sort of room/temp stat to wire into combi. he only wants it to keep it too 11' for the spawning or something god only knows guys. BTW koi keeper in newcastle i know a guy who...

what does the boiler do, does it try to fire, does the fan cycle on and off.. i had one of these before and changed allsorts pcb, aps, fans etc and it was the restrictor ring in the flue... how do they work for yrs then start doing that eh :?:

does the fan run? does the pump run? does the pump proving switch lift at the rear of the pump? is the PPO pipe blocked? normally if gas valve goes altogether on one of these babies the fused spur usually just eats the fuses

im sure my friend/colleague/customer mentioned 8' or 11' as the required temperature for the koi to spawn. im doing this as a cash job for a mate im taking no responsibility for the JG flow and returns he's already installed i will be installing/testing and commisioning the combi to heat it and...

:shock: is this covered by the domestic gas regs or the fishing tank ones :lol: :lol: i just hope the flow and returns are all pushed and locked together on the plastic pipework. come on guys anyone else got any weird stories of installs theyve been asked to do

i had same probs before doing this tother engineers fit electrodes etc and i ended up changing pcb and it worked fine :shock: saying that i have had this fault on reverse polarity try a martindale tester on your socket to check for reverse polarity :wink:

i was approcahed by a youngun yesterday 3rd yr apprentice needs to work with some one to complete his gas portfolio i may give him a few days here and there when busy and pay him cash in hand :shock:

ive only been up and running 3-4 weeks but i could surely use a 2nd pair of hands, BUT im wary in case i cant pay them if im quiet. i know a young lad through a mutual friend who is 2 yrs into an apprenticeship but hes getting laid off as his employer now has to pay the 80 quid a week for him...

surely wanging a powerflush into the job is gunna make even a combi swap into a 2 day job :shock: customer wont like the prices of that

cw mains usually for me but im pricing magna cleans into price to hopefully maintain the system and chb guarantee :wink: ive heard the magna clean filters for powerflushing machines are meant to be TOP class :wink:

using a machine or mains pressure to flush the system ?

when did they stop letting you putting pipework into the sides of combi mates.. i see you can only pipe them from the top or bottom or both

anyone fitting these boilers, a friend of mine is a rep for them and im installing one for a mutual friend of ours. apparently it has a 5 yr guarantee and is an ok boiler. any thoughts on them :wink:
