Texecom Premier Elite 64-W with dual Elite Odyssey 1 external sounders

thanks for all your help! So based on the 8 cores I do have wired to each bell currently, I could do this? I guess that really only leaves the "Test T" connection on each sounder (assuming I don't need to do anything with the "MSW" wires now?) In all honestly, its probably easier for me to...

Texecom Premier Elite 64-W with dual Elite Odyssey 1 external sounders

Ok so: A = 12v = Red B = Bell = Blue D = 0V = Black S = Strobe = Green Brown, White Orange, Yellow Nope nothing else planned for this setup, so basically use all four zones then to be able to determine either a fault or a tamper on each sounder? So basically, if I wired it like this, I'd...

Texecom Premier Elite 64-W with dual Elite Odyssey 1 external sounders

Thanks, so I should wire the fault relay to two zones on the control panel (even though I only have a single physical zone), and this will allow me to tell which is which from the button panel? Do I program both Z1 and Z2 as "auxiliary"? Which color core (on my diagram) should be the spare...

Texecom Premier Elite 64-W with dual Elite Odyssey 1 external sounders

Hi all, would really appreciate if someone could help with some confusion I'm having with the wiring of a Texecom Premier Elite 64-W with dual Elite Odyssey 1 external sounders. Just to note, this is what I have: Texecom Ricochet Premier Elite 64-W Control Panel 2x Texecom Premier Elite...

No sound from Texecom Premier Elite

Finally got round to trying to wire up a new Texecom Premier Elite 64-W with dual elite sounders for the front and back of the house. wired it all up, switched it on and only got the alarm out of one of the two alarms. I’d wired up everything into the same ports with the same colours, with the...

damaged the screw in a Euro Cylinder

Mole grips worked a treat…. It’s actually frightening how easy it was to snap off with very little force and hardly any noise! glad I’ve swapped them all now

damaged the screw in a Euro Cylinder

thought it would make more sense to add to this thread rather than posting a new thread that’s pretty much identical and having no way of knowing if the original method worked for the OP. anyhow will give the lock snap method a go in the morning… the current lock is a £5 job, so no doubt it...

damaged the screw in a Euro Cylinder

This is the EXACT same issue I’m having, although I don’t have any real backwards and forwards play. It’s partly my own fault. Tried unscrewing the screw with the first Philips screwdriver I could find… not the exact size for the screw… sheared the screw…. “No problem!” I thought, as I pulled...

converting DSSO spur in loft to single socket plus unswitched FCU

I have a tendency to overthink things. Think I’ll just stick a 3a plug on it with a “do not unplug or switch off” reminder sticker and get on with it.

converting DSSO spur in loft to single socket plus unswitched FCU

lol is DSSO not a double-socket switched outlet? :-) So if I replace the double socket with a 13amp FCU, then it would be: upstairs ring -> "supply" 13a FCU -> "load" 13a FCU -> Single socket -> "supply" 3a FCU -> "load" alarm control panel. Like this?

converting DSSO spur in loft to single socket plus unswitched FCU

looking for some advice. I have a DSSO spur in the loft coming from the upstairs ring. This was installed for a future burglar alarm control panel. Got the alarm control panel now and looking to install, but it says an unswitched fused spur must be used...why this is I don't really understand...

    Powrmatic Vision monobloc aircon units

Wondered if anyone has any experience with the Powrmatic (not a misspelling, there’s no ‘e’) Vision “monobloc” aircon unit? They are a bit pricy, but a couple of reasons why I’m considering one for our bedroom…. Firstly, it’s a complete self-install solution… no F-Gas registered engineer...

Texecom premier elite - kit list check

Received the kit today and it looks very smart. Step one for me is just getting the cables run to the correct locations and hanging the external sounders on the outside walls. Seeing as I've never been the biggest fan of working at height, I want to keep my trips up and down the ladder to a...

Texecom premier elite - kit list check

No concerns with the loft. It’s been boarded out as we had the combi boiler fitted up there, but we don’t have any skylights or anything, so apart from lifting roof tiles or smashing a hole through the brick wall separating us from next door, there’s no access apart from up the ladder from the...

Texecom premier elite - kit list check

Is there any potential for concern running the second sounder from aux? I’m struggling to think of anything else I could upgrade in the future to need the aux power for anything else, but maybe there’s something I’m not thinking of?

Texecom premier elite - kit list check

I think I’ll order a few more Impaq’s for the alley way upstairs window and the back bedroom and bathroom windows and just disable the magnet contact part unless we’re away. (Can this be done on the Impaq’s? disable the magnet, but keep shock protection enabled? If not the whole device would be...
