2 years in the planning and BCO has signed of works. I few head scratching moments, but 90% of works done in 8 days with me and 2 other people working 14hr days!

Yes the guy will also be the builder (project manager), so in another way, if he has problems building it, it is his fault as he drew it!

Yes, hence why hip end roofs dont have that type of strap? only wall straps. As for moving one strap and the potential of the roof flying off...that is a bit extreme! The over rating and additional factors will cover that one strap move.

Create a pitched from section in a sensible pitch angle, and then onto a queen top, flat roof section. Maybe put in a large roof lantern on the flat section?
