Electric windows won’t open Golf Mk 7

Thank. Will look at that. Is it relatively easy to remove shroud. Also, do I look for obvious sign of broken wire?

Electric windows won’t open Golf Mk 7

Thanks. I’ve looked at videos, and getting the panel off seems doable but a bit of a faf. The switches are quite cheap though, Is it a job you would expect most folk to be able to do?

Electric windows won’t open Golf Mk 7

Just checked, and it’s just the driver controls that don’t function, meaning I can’t open the driver’s window. Does that make it easier to diagnose and fix? Thank you.

Electric windows won’t open Golf Mk 7

Thanks. Guess l’ll have to do that for all four doors. Only other thing suggested was using dry lubricant down the glass runners.

Electric windows won’t open Golf Mk 7

Thanks. Knowing my luck it will need replacement regulators on each door and complete rewiring, entailing massive labour charges

Electric windows won’t open Golf Mk 7

Hi Have 2013 Golf. About a year ago, started having probs with driver window not opening. Unfortunately, the problem has now spread to all 4, and none are opening when you hit the control switch. You can hear a sort of “fut fut” sound but window doesn’t respond. When/if a window does open, it...

Hi Extractor fan on bathroom (linked to light) seems to have gone today, although light working. I’ll contact the spark who installed, but does this sound like new fan needed? Thanks

Golf Mk 7 wing mirror replacement

Hi Have bought replacement stick on mirror for my Golf. (Original not cracked, just loose) In many of videos, you can remove backing plate from wing mirror to do the task. However, in my case the connectors seem to be welded to the wing mirror. (2013 Golf-not heated, just needed for tilting...

    Replacing wood panel in conservatory

Hi I’ve renewed silicone around outside of conservatory doors to stop our slimy, nocturnal friends coming in. (Also slug pellets outside) They were getting in via a gap between the brick and the doors on outside, but that seems to be rectified by the sealant. Do I need to keep the copper...

Thanks for all your help. This is the connector I should have used. (Slightly smaller gauge) Much appreciated. L

Impossible to fit garden hose to tap!

Hi Thanks for response. The leakage is where the connector fits (doesn’t) to tap. I’ve added two more photos, with reducer attached and not attached to the yellow connector. Either way, as soon as you apply any pressure, water spews out and connector detaches from tap. Wish I could upload video.

Impossible to fit garden hose to tap!

Hi Attached are images of our garden tap. (About five years old?) Whatever combination of Hozelock attachments I use, nothing sticks and water pours out from the tap. Do I need a new tap or new hose? Thanks

    External sealant

Hi We’ve had problems with sluggies entering the conservatory, I’ll put pellets down outside, but noticed their method of entry is via gap between brick and step. (Original sealant has deteriorated) Just wondered if there was a heavy duty one I could use? Thanks
