Sorry John i must not have been too clear. I would take tails from the Main Iso to both RCD's, this way the 2 RCD's won't be inline so i shouldn't have discrimination probs?

RCD is 100mA but not sure if it is a TD one (don't think it is, says 100mA, 80A, CAT WEM 80/2), it is the only RCD in the installation atm. I plan on a full rewire and CU sometime in the next 6 months (electrics are really old, no earth in light circuit) where i will be using a overall 100mA TD...

I'm with Steve on this one, would go with 16mm SWA, better to go too big than too small. If you wanted to use anything smaller i would find out the power requirements for each item and post em, that way you can work out the exact (or close enough) size of cable needed. Steve: Not a cert...

Hi Guys, In middle of running a sub Main into Shed/Decking area. Using 10mm2 3 Core SWA XLPE cable and have a quick question regarding the earthing. Would it be best to export the earth from the main CU or install local earthing rod at the sub main? Thanks In Advance Jamie

Not an expert but i think the regs say that Showers, cookers, hot tubs etc. and any socket that could be used to supply outdoor equiptment needs to be protected with an RCD or RCBO (MCB & RCD in one little device). Hope this helps Jamie
