    What's head-lap? also main picture now of the broken tile not just the cracked one Tiles changed, but not as well as i would have liked, will upload pictures tomorrow for an opinion, as they don't sit down properly

    The roofing guy has just been out and will be sorting out the tiles Monday, so that,s good. The next question: Should i be making a complaint to the Solar panel installer company, who have obviously subcontracted the scaffolding to a local company telling them of the problem, or anyone else...

    Surely scaffolding planks should be secured? My neighbour is having Solar panels fitted and one of the scaffolding planks at 1st floor level has just slide off and smashed into my bay window tiles! Two tiles on the end of the ridge smashed and of course it started to rain straight away...

    I have a Hotpoint FF187 Fridge Freezer and the freezer section the side have worn and so the drawers are hard to close. Think i need some repair type putty that can be shaped and also withstand the cold temperature? Any ideas?

    Just looking into quotes for a replacement boiler (Worcester 12RI) all the quotes are above £2k which is what i expected. But then have seen it advertised supplied and installed for £1012.50? Gas safe etc, what am i missing? Why is it so much cheaper?

    Is there a clever way to change 6 x 6 fence panels that are held in-between concrete posts? Is it get the help of a friendly person and step ladders and lift out the old and drop in the new ones. Just seems a bit awkward to me

    It was just changing the cooker connection point (behind the oven) to a double socket and putting a plug on the electric single oven (2.98 Kw) and the gas hob igniter.

    He did say he would do it electronically, he did all the testing and noted down the figures, i will chase him again tomorrow. Otherwise should i complain to the NICEIC?

    Just had a gas hob igniter connected up by a NICEIC registered contractor, about 10 days ago. All ok. But I have not received the installation cert yet, its been a week since I last asked him, he said he will do it and send it to me. How long is normal to wait for the certificates?
