    Disable ARC Texecom 24

Edit: Just removed the areas from Anti-code reset so now I have nothing assigned to it (AB) now (..) Do I do the same with confirmed reset and set this to null? Also, it appears my attempt to remove user code for engineer access hasn't worked.

Ok. I've managed to find the menu and I have the following: Anti-code reset AB Confirmed reset AB Do them values need changing then?

    Disable ARC Texecom 24

The alarm isn't on a monitoring station no. To change the reset procedure do I do this via engineers mode? I looked in global options but there was no facility or anything that mentioned arc. What do you mean by program digit?

    Disable ARC Texecom 24

Hi Guys I can't seem to find the setting to turn off the ARC. Using the RKP to do this. Reason I'm asking is it prompted me for the code (never happened before) when I simulated an alarm after swapping a QD for a DT. All previous tests have gone fine but not in this instance. Normally, the...

Engineers 'Hold off' prior to PIR change

Cheers mate! Will crack on with this tomorrow. Hopefully, no more false alarms. Didn't really research the correct PIR in the garage. My bad lesson learnt :D

Engineers 'Hold off' prior to PIR change

Hey all I intend to swap out the existing QD PIR in the garage for a DT. Am I right in saying doing the above is the easiest way to do the swap? I'm aware it can be done forcing the strobe 3 times. Is it advisable to just leave the panel powered whilst I change the gubbins or do I need to...

First false alarm - how to avoid in future

Ordered one from Alert Electrical. All the other PIR's in the property are the QD's. I hope I don't have to end up changing them as well. House seems to have an abundance of spiders lately but feel that's down to this crazy weather.

First false alarm - how to avoid in future

Hi Sparky hope all is well. Is this really my only best option is to replace it? Can the sensetivity be adjusted? Could I do a soak test to see if it's faulty? The zone is fine and all looks good when checking zone status.

First false alarm - how to avoid in future

Hi all Been a while since last post. Just wanted to say thanks for the advice from the very kind & willing chaps who helped get me on my way with my TexecomPremier Elite 24. System has been working flawlessly however, over the weekend during the early hours the alarm triggered. Upon resetting...

    Texecom Impaq Plus wiring

Hey all Thought I'd give an update and use this as an opportunity to see if anyone would kindly provide some wisdom. Basically, I decided to use Zone 8 on the premier 24 panel to wire a shock sensor to the rear external door. My reasoning behind this is that it's a door with a panel so felt...

Texecom Premier Elite QD - EOL Query

Ok thanks for that. If I do decide to go the wintex route is this what is required...

Texecom Premier Elite QD - EOL Query

Hi Secureiam I get what your saying and I apologise if my expectation has miffed you. After careful consideration, I will wire the shock sensor but for now, zone 8 (intended zone for it) has been programmed out. I take it outside of all the other fixtures, the impaq plus does require...

Texecom Premier Elite QD - EOL Query

Thanks for sticking with us btw, I really do appreciate it. How much more of a advantage does a shock with magnetic contact hold over a standard shock? Will what I have suffice? Also, would you recommend it be mounted to the double patio door frame (this leads to an area protected by a PIR) OR...

Texecom Premier Elite QD - EOL Query

Hi Handymanjo. The Impaq plus is shock only. Yep, 8 core to keypad. I could run some more cable to the shock sensor but it would obviously be a much longer run as the RKP is right at other side where panel is far closer. Also, the route would be a royal PITA. Do I req 2 seperate zones for my...

Texecom Premier Elite QD - EOL Query

Hi Thanks for the clarification. I was under the impression the bell box needed the resistors to fulfill EOL requirements? How is the Odyssey X3 protected. Does it have it's own dedicated tamper circuit? Also, I have a Texecom Impaq plus (AEB-001). Could you please tell me if this would be of...

Texecom Premier Elite QD - EOL Query

Hey all Long time lurker, first time poster so please be nice I feel I'm entering the Lion's Den ;) I believe EOL is the much preferred method as it allows the panel to fully supervise each zone and makes for fault finding much easier. The last time I did an install was literally moons ago and...
