i have just installed a new low level toilet cistern (like for like) . when i flush the toilet now the water from the cistern doesnt flow right around inside the pan as before, it only reaches about 3/4 of the way round the pan. is this because of something i have done or is it an installation...

i see if the pump needs turned up because i think this is the only thing the plumber didnt do. he flushed the system and add inhibator (sental 1000 i think it was) ok. thanks for you help ill post back and tell you all how i got on . cheers

thanks for the advice. i have just had my boiler renewed a few weeks back. it been moved too, from upstairs to downstairs. the rads downstairs a fine (nice and hot) the rads upstairs a luke warm and as i said. warm at the top/cold at the bottom. when the plumber/heating engineer installed...

i have 2 raditors upsatirs that are hot at the top and cold at the bottom. what courses this to happen and can i rectify it ??

the boiler was installed 1 month ago. the rads were hot when he finsished installing the bolier. but now only downstairs is hot. iam calling him back but he cant get here till next week, thought id see if u guys would have any ideas. i tried bleeding them, no air in the rads.

last night my electric went off. now my newly installed (3 weeks old) worcester 28ijumior boiler wont heat up. no hot water or C.H. there is a engineer coming out tomorrow but you know how clold it is of a night. lol . so i thought i would ask on here to see if you guys had any ideas...

iam having to take my lino up in the kitchen for some plumbing works. have you guys any tips of taking up lino in one go as iam planing on relaying it ?

hes fitted 5 in all. they aren't bi-flow. which end SHOULD they be on , Flow or Return ? cheers Dom

so.......... to answer my irst question. does the TRV's need to be on the Flow or Return pipieork if they were not bi-directional ?

Bulldog , i think. does it matter ? i know you can get TRV's that can go on the flow and return but this plumber told me they could only go on the the return. is this corect ? am not so sure this guy was a time sevred plumber you see. if this is the case i will report him. cheers

i have just had TRV's fitted to my C.H.S by a plumber . not sure if he has fit them right. as they seem to make a noise. can you tell me, does the T.R.V's go onto the Flow or Return pipework.

ink is priity old now you mention it. never used my printer for about 2 months. how can i tell if its the ink or blocked jets ?

i have a Lexmark printer. within the past few months the colour stopped printing(the p.c says there is colour in the cartridge 3/4 full) now the black has stopped, same again. plenty of ink in cartridge. any ideas ?

i have a double glazed from door.(upvc). when i go to lock and unlock it i have to lift the handle so that i lift the door up slightly, is there any tips on fixing this problem ? cheers

over skimming existing plaster walls

the problem with my boiler is that the pressure is always high. the is a wooshing noise coming from the pipe work when the C.H is on am moving the combi boiler from up to down stairs. i have had 1 new rad fitted and 1 renewed and moved in the past. the plumber used plastic pipe to do both...

looked back through the pages. not much in the other replays. all seem to say different tips on skimming do i need to apply a pva first or "key" the walls ? do i mix the plaster with water 50:50 ? you got any good instructions on step bay step skimming guides?
