River rock / Pebbles on bathroom wall

Did you look at this? http://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-water-repellent-seal-clear-5ltr/57474 I tiled a full chimney breast years back using welsh slate, and I was advised to brush on a liquid sealer, prior to sticking them on and grouting them, since the slate is porous and the adhesive...

Water coming in via Long Drop Windows!

I forgot to mention, use white spirit to clean the white residue off the wood before you start, using a rag and wearing latex gloves. Latex gloves are understated among DIYers; Dermatitis is not something anyone wants.

Simply, yes. Keep it neat too; Just be aware not to get any silicone on the frame face; it'll block the woodstain from penetrating the wood.

Water coming in via Long Drop Windows!

It's not just an average wood stain, and the data sheet only backs this up, and it's good priced too. Techinique is to: Brush it into the wood, keep the brush strokes straight. Wipe off as you see how to as shown in this video. Cover the floor with a large cloth, and wear latex gloves, as...

    laptop choice

I've had a few Asus laptops more as a back up, than as a main use; primarily because the batteries are always weak. Not an issue I guess if you want the mains always plugged in. These guys kinda say the same with the battery issue. http://www.laptopmag.com/reviews/laptops/asus-x550ca

    Downlight hole too big

How dare you assume!!! Don't choose to assume, until you have mastered the art of... going down ta' Screwfix! :P Joking aside, it's a pain indeed if you would use a jigsaw, which is not recommended; when all you have to do is buy a hole cutter attachment for a standard drill, that'll cut...

    Power drill gloves

If you're looking for gloves to wear while your doing some decking work, or just drilling holes into the wall, with your 18v hammer drill, then I'd recommend the Snickers Goat Skin Precision Gloves. Goat skin that is thin yet strong, a large soft mesh over the thumb area for wiping the sweat...

    Remove cement off reclaimed slabs.

Nice neighbours. You'll find it easy if you uses a club hammer and a sharp flat chisel. Lay you chisel almost flat to the slab, and start with soft blows with the club hammer, and build up as you see fit. The larger the angle, the more chance you'll split the slab in half, so 90deg, hammering...

    Overhead power to shed

Were they wearing polo neck sweaters? Did they have frizzy hair? Don't trust them, lock your doors and hide in the attic till Shaun arrives!!! :/ Joking aside, they're referring to a messenger wire. It's to take the weig of the wire, and avoid any future hazards, one being that it's not...

Wow, love the stone work, it just needs washing off with a standard jet wash. jet wash the waney edge cladded fences, and cut back the hedges and tree branches and tidy it all up, or visa versa. 1: apply one or two coats of Ronseal one coat fence colour and protector of your choice. Your...
