Help with fitter for granite worktop

The company is actually UK based but they source their granite from India.... If it were chipped then the plan would be to send it back.... I'm open to suggestions for decent UK based companies (depending on price) if anyone can make a recommendation

Is it worth buying a new drill

How easy is a battery rebuild and is it likely to cost me less than £50? Regarding the Hitachi question if I'm going for a new drill how much of a difference is there between NiCd and LiIon? Can anyone outline the difference in performance (power)?

Is it worth buying a new drill

I current have a Bosch PSB 24 VE-2 and the Ni-Cd battery no longer holds its charge over a few days (which is annoying).... I can buy a new battery for £50 but I'm wondering whether I should just ditch the Bosch and buy a new Li-Ion based drill (I guess I'd spend around £200)

3m sash windows --> 3m uPVC or equiv

I'm considering moving from my existing wooden sash windows to a uPVC variant. I'm mainly considering this because 2 of the lower frames in the sashes are now rotten & I'm being quoted £500 each for replacements so I figure uPVC is worth considering. + moving away from wood eliminates the...

Help on DIY roof felt repair

Hi, I recently purchased a house and after a particularly rainy day I noticed a leak in the bedroom ceiling. Having been up into the loft I've noticed 8 - 10 areas in where the felt is torn through. Most areas are quite small i.e. 10cm2, one is about 35cm x 60cm..... How easy is it for me...

    Help - Induction hob confusion

Just reviewed the installation manual for the product in question. It says absolutely nothing about built-under double ovens or built-in for that matter (but as pointed out by Steve I don't really want to be cooking on a ladder anyway). The only thing I can find that might be relevant is...

    Help - Induction hob confusion

Ok. I probably left some important information out/unclear. The website stating this isn't the manufacturers site and I can't find the same statement on the manufacturers site. Also they say this with refrence to built-under double ovens but don't mention built-in. So I would expect the...

All, I'm about to purchase a new induction hob but as I was browsing through the various models I noticed one shop had a description against all its induction hobs stating "Please note: Induction hobs cannot be placed above built-under double ovens". This seems a bit generalized and rather...
