    Solar PV fault

Hi, I had my system installed 3 years ago with Sunpower panels, I wanted decent quality up there on the roof. Fronius inverter is throwing up error state 447 which I read in the PDF manual as: Solar module ground, insulation error (connection between solar module and ground) It's three levels...

Pyronix Enforcer, advice on setting up the system

Thanks, I seem to be getting further now. P49 of the main programming manual has the input settings and option 7 (Final Exit) also seems to set the entry timer counting down in area A if it's for the first input triggered. For now I've set the hallway to that setting as it's only the hallway...

Pyronix Enforcer, advice on setting up the system

I'm guessing perhaps I can set the wireless inputs onto different functions depending on what area they're in. So as an instance I could have area A if I'm going to bed and area B if I'm off out. Perhaps area D could control the garage only or something down those lines.

Pyronix Enforcer, advice on setting up the system

I understand now, thanks. Okay. I'll take another look at this part of the puzzle tomorrow. Will have to suffer the alarm sounding for one more morning now

Pyronix Enforcer, advice on setting up the system

Hi, I've very basically installed this system but still need to set it up properly. The booklets I find confusing. It seems to have areas ABCD rather than zones and areas don't apear to be the same thing as zones. In this case I have four PIRs and one magnetic contact. Because of the house...

Which wireless alarm should I purchase?

I have the system basically functioning although there's some tweaking to do yet. I've left the outside siren alone until it's right in case I start getting false alarms in the short term. I've only fitted a handful of wired systems over the years and found the booklets complicated for this...

Which wireless alarm should I purchase?

She must sleep about 95% of the time anyway although some cats tend to be active more at night. I think I just found it hard to believe a PIR actually would be okay around animals. Having to buy so many extra contacts on top of a £200 or so kit isn't particularly appealing so I'll try a kit...

Which wireless alarm should I purchase?

Ta. Pyronix looks good as a kit but it's expensive to pick and choose components. I'm sure it's a case of getting what you pay for but I need about 5 or 6 door/window contacts and they're over £40 a piece. Plus I don't want the PIRs so I'm hesitant to get this system. MAP do a pet friendly...

Which wireless alarm should I purchase?

Hi, I have a cat so don't want PIRs but I intend just to fit several door/window contacts, a bell box and a control panel. Something simple that makes a noise on site is all because my neighbours are good and would respond, plus I'm likely to be in if it's night time anyway. What would you...

    Lead lined guttering

Oh, and I read that Thompsons 10 Year Roof Seal isn't suitable for lead.

    Lead lined guttering

I've put ladders up to the gutter this evening and taken a couple of pics. It doesn't look as bad as I thought once I was up there. One part I could see where the lead isn't overlapping the edge (near stink pipe in 1st pic) perhaps and the lead overlap joints themselves perhaps could use some...

Gravity Check Valve (plus some Solid Fuel Heating questions)

I probably need to ring some suppliers. On quick glance it looks like adding a sealed system would require someone with an 'unvented' qualification plus 12 monthly checks. Add to that the Thermal Store will cost almost 2 grand.

Gravity Check Valve (plus some Solid Fuel Heating questions)

Thermal store looks like a winner. Just pondering whether to look into feasibility of linking with the combi or having a vented gas boiler as the multifuel option. I initially thought that thermal store I linked would do sealed and solid fuel together. More I read the more a vented looks like...

Gravity Check Valve (plus some Solid Fuel Heating questions)

No, I have mains gas. People with detached houses getting free boilers? God, whatever next?

Gravity Check Valve (plus some Solid Fuel Heating questions)

I was initially considering running two separate heating systems, obviously with different radiators. It's an old house and has approx 100 year old L shaped extension which gets particularly cold in the winter. The Rayburn was primarily intended to combat that. The gas heating system otherwise...
