    Updated texecom ios app

Happy to see texecom have updated their apps yesterday to a much better design and now have push notifications. And seem to have included the log in the keypad app rather than the engineer app. Also much great to be able to use the finger print to log in,making it quick more secure than the...

    Texecom comip wintex connection issues

Solved it! I was at the property on Saturday and set com1 to nothing fitted and sure enough, lost the ability to connect with wintex. I then changed the baud setting to 38400 from 19600 and it worked! I then also started getting lots of errors due to the random ARC settings I had been...

    Texecom comip wintex connection issues

Hi I have the comip plugged into com 2 ie on right hand side, not at the top of the board. Confirmed by the alarm logs showing my wintex connections issuing remote commands to com 2. However when com1 had nothing set in the panel and com2 with the comip I got the com1 error and no wintex...

    Texecom comip wintex connection issues

Solved it. Moved the comip to com 2 and powered off and restarted alarm. Set com port 2 to comip and com port 1 to nothing fitted. But I then got a com 1 error message that I didn't expect. So out of desperation, and no other ideas I set com ports 1&2 to both have comip fitted. And finally...

    Texecom comip wintex connection issues

Reading the manual on UDL options, could I have enabled DL Attended option by mistake? I was using the pc by the panel and not a keypad so wouldn't have noticed if it was asking for a code to approve. Is that a possibility?

    Texecom comip wintex connection issues

The addresses are 192.168.0.4 to 192.168.0.8 and I have set the router to allocate 192.168.0.200 to the alarm Strangely the alarm doesn't show along the wired connected device Web page even though I can ping it and see its Web page.

    Texecom comip wintex connection issues

Just to summarise where I am. The alarm is on 192.168.0.200 on port 10001 with subnet on 255.255.255.000 On the panel this is set and I have the gateway at 192.168.0.1 I presume the poling / smg details don't matter for wintex? I hehe set port forwarding on the router of 10001 to...

    Texecom comip wintex connection issues

Wintex has the right ip address, trying to connect on local LAN, for now. If I use the wrong one it fails immediately. Wintex is saying "status: reading panel type and Serial Number" for a minute, and then fails.

    Barginateous IP camera?

The manythings app for iPhone will run for days if plugged in, using motion sensor and record only when motion and alert you if anything moves via notification to another phone.

    Barginateous IP camera?

How regularly do they do it? An old phone and a cctv app with motion sensing will work if you can prop camera to get a view of garden and don't need night vision.

Wiring an alarm with Cat5 cable

Yes I think my problem was exactly that, putting small nicks into the core when stripping using the double v style plier strippers. I am definitely going to join where possible in advance and as you say take stranded cable to the panel terminals. Another fun problem is that I bought the largest...

    Texecom control timers

Ah. I see the page now. It would be nice if at end of global options/control timers it said now go to time am areas to activate. But if I was in less a rush that day I would have got to that page eventually. Will teach me to jump around in the manual. Thanks

Wiring an alarm with Cat5 cable

Thanks. I should have said it's solid core cat5 hence my problems as is not very flexible. Would tin still help, although adding to the thickness might still mean I need connectors as then wouldn't fit all the wires into the panel connectors on pir power connections.
