    Rusty areas on satellite dish.

My post was badly worded - I should have read it over before posting it. what i meant was that metallic paint wouldnt make a difference in terms of overheting the LNB, but GLOSS would. as for blending in - I beleive that was sky's idea when they switched from solid round dishes to...

i didnt say that, someone else suggested it "It is more likely that there will be two FCUs, one for each. Then you can switch them off separately. " i asked why i would want to do that.

i'll go take a pic in the morning....I do have mate who is NEARLY a spark - he's got his 17th edition exam next week. I'm sure he would be happy to do this job FOC. Before anyone starts...I'd rather ask the question and get the answer, than do what i THINK is right, and regret it. Thanks...

    plug socket in bathroom....

Firstly, spark1 - thanks for your advice - I'll take it on board. Yes, there is already a fused spur unit in the bathroom CUPBOARD - from the old immersion heater. Its RCD protected. As are the lights. I guess using this fused spur to power the boiler AND the bath is the easy option...

    panasonic surround sound

how much is it. I try to push people away from all in one kits - as GENERALLY, unless you spend round the £800 mark, they are fairly poor in terms of quality, both design and sound -when compared to seperates. I stopped myself from buying a all in one kit, saved up for a while, budgeted...

moving on from my last topi - and a topic in the tiling section, i now know i have a few peices of plasterboard to change. I removed the first peie next to the door - which is 2.4m tall, and 30cm wide. i was expecting to find woodwork behind the plasterboard, both vertical and...

    Rusty areas on satellite dish.

your all wrong !!!! most dishes have holes in them PURELY for cosmetic reasons - it helps them to blend in with the background. you can paint your sky dish ANY colour you want - it won't make a difference. Metallic paint....The metalic flakes are in the micrometres.....The...
