    Installing shower pump in attic

We had an Aqualisa fitted a good few years ago. As I explained in another post, the pump is in the attic (not sure if Negative or Positive pump) BUT slightly lower than CWSC and F&E on plinth. Fed by hot water from Expansion pipe, (T'd off just above attic floor) and cold feed. So, two pipes in...

Vent pipe T in attic to pump?

Not sure by 'Digital' One button for on, surrounded by temp dial. Bottom half has booster button. As I say 2 pipes into pump, (H&C) 1 pipe out into riser. With the Surrey or Essex flange, roughly where would these be placed on the cylinder?

    Trevi or Aqualisa?

We had an Aqualisa fitted about 6 years ago. Simple controls. Push for on. Dial for temperature. Below the on/off is Boost. That simply blasts you against the shower wall, (great for your neck! ) so never use it. The pumped normal pressure is quite enough. Simple Plumbing too. Without going up...

    Bath 15mm or 22mm?

Still finding my feet as not long qualified. Just been to price up a replacement bath. At the moment a disabled unit is there. There is also in situ a safety mixing valve. One tap has 15mm pipe, the other 22mm. The mixing valve is being removed, so back to square one. Should I be piping up in...

Vent pipe T in attic to pump?

Thanks for that. Maybe I should point out that the pump itself is about 6 feet away in the attic. An Aqualisa shower. Two pipes into pump (H&C), but only 1 pipe out into riser rail. As I am new to all this, what is the process, how do I go about taking a feed direct from HW cylinder? ie after...

Vent pipe T in attic to pump?

This is similar to an earlier post. About 5 or 6 years ago the guy who fitted our bathroom (before I qualified) used the vent (previously been 'T'd) just as it emergies into the attic (so just off the attic floor). There had already been a 22mm pipe coming from the vent, but had been capped...

Polytank loft tank - 22mm hole saw

I was prepareing an expansion cistern, and I'm pretty sure it was the 27mm I was short of. I visited my local 'hardware' store, the tools department, and bought one there fairly cheaply.

    Honeywell 3-port V4073A

Thanks kevplumb. I know it possible to change the synchronous motor, but getting to the valve, is just too tight. It's on it's end (vertically) and facing away! When changing a motor, would it be safest just to flick the mains off before dismantling?

    Honeywell 3-port V4073A

Nothing wrong with it yet, but just in case. I have an INDIRECT system. The valve itself sits right at the back left hand corner. I believe there should be a 'lever' on the unit (cannot see it), ??? is this for draining down, or will I have to manually drain down next to the boiler downstairs...

    Plumbing in Bidet

Bathroom is situated a few feet opposite Bathroom. Bathroom floor now has a tiled floor. If I were to plumb in a Bidet, is it OK to 'T'off a hot and cold feed from the neighbouring wash basin. If I still had floor board access, would the 'proper' way be to take new feeds from the pipework in...

    Breeze block walls

Would I be correct in saying that breeze block walls would first need a 'dry wall' coat prior to plastering. Also what is the difference between 'Multi-finish' plaster and a 'Finish' plaster. Generally I have just used 'Multi-finish'? Thanks in advance.
