    The Lone Ranger and Tonto

I've heard he said, "What you mean 'we', white man?" The best part of that TV show was the William Tell Overture they played before and after.

American style fridge freezer water supply

The fridge maker is afraid of being sued. We do that a lot over here. I've never purged these lines and somehow got by.

    Adjusting Pictures?

With stiff steel wire you may be able to make a type of hook that mates with both the wall fastener and the picture fastener, one or two centimeters long. It will be difficult to make two of these exactly alike but if you leave a wire loop in each, this loop can be twisted together with...

Unsecured turret - Boiler at risk

The pressure in the house can vary from + to - depending on several things and so may expel or suck in CO but there does seem to be a hole at this location.

Blocked shower drain - what REALLY works?

    Gypsum plaster near stove: trouble?

How soon, or how many heat/cool cycles, before the OP knows there will or will not be damage? Will the damage be obvious? I guess the drywall seams will be the canary in the coal mine for this type thing. I don't mind if DIYers endanger their own lives, but exposing kids to a known hazard...

    Which chain saw

I don't mind them for work in trees; it's light enough that I can work it with one hand and I already have a 100' cord for other reasons.

    Which chain saw

Electric saw can't supply enough power? They're way more convenient.

    Fan Speed

If you can find a thermistor that controls the fan speed, whatever it's fastened to is likely where the problem is.

    Shower Wiring

If you find yourself breathing very deeply and you don't know why, there is a problem.

IIRC, 10 cubic feet of air gives you 15 minutes or the other way 'round.

    Ceiling height

Over here door heights are 80"/2 m and ceiling, 8'/2.4 m and I assume these dims accommodate 95% or 99% of the people who use them, at the time they were built.
