    Have you considered using second hand double glazed window units instead of sheeting material? Have a look in skips or ask your local glazing installers. On our allotment site there are some lovely greenhouses build that way (by handy people).

    Agree with RandomGrinch. Fitted window film on the lower part of our windows (ground floor), it's quick not expensive and it can be changed.

    The pipe goes to the smart meter in the corner cupboard. The Bosch oven is quite old couldn't find any manuals on the Bosch website. Width is 55 cm and the inside depth 46 cm. Just an idea: Could one run the pipe underneath the kitchen units and oven? Thanks again for your help. Enjoy the rest...

    The oven is standardsize. Would it be a good idea to fill a large empty flower pot with lime chips and put in beneath the pipe just as an interim measure? Thanks again for all your help.

    Thanks for all the ideas. We would prefer having the pipe running indoors to the sink waste. The sink is to the left of the kettle on another wall. I will look into having the pipe run behind the gas stove and electric cooker and report back.

    Our condensate pipe goes outside. Yesterday we put some bubble wrap round the pipe but there was a 10 cm icicle hanging on it this morning. There was also some ice in the pipe which melted after having used warm water from a kettle on it. All the nearby shops are out of proper insulation...
