Upon closer inspection, I noticed there is a hole in the old wooden soffit, where the overflowing gutter water comes through. The hole may have been used as an downpipe by the previous owner. Now how do I patch up the hole, which is about 1.5 inch in diameter.

The one the right is ok but the left keep going on and off. Here is the photo of the offending light, a duplicate is on the other side, which is working correctly.

No flue or extractor, just in the evening.

Not sure but did not take anything out. Not sure what the purpose of the spigot is. It's the foam from the fairy liquid that comes out. Also do you think my setup is correct for the plumbing, bearing in mind I have a washing machine and dishwasher connected.
