Hello folks,

I wonder if any kind folks could help me out on this.

Under our kitchen sink plumbing, which was blocked so we took out the U bend pipe and cleaned it and now when we put it back, foam comes out of the spigot, like everytime we use dishwashing liquid, foam emanates from the spigot and as a result water collects below. It was not like that before. Don't understand what went wrong.

I attach photos. The foam comes out from the left spigot.

Was there a black bit with a flap inside the nut joint between trap and nozzle?

Daniel.
Not sure but did not take anything out. Not sure what the purpose of the spigot is. It's the foam from the fairy liquid that comes out.

Also do you think my setup is correct for the plumbing, bearing in mind I have a washing machine and dishwasher connected.

Try a blanking cap on the spigot, its not used , that should stop anything coming out
Is that safe to do so? It's not to release any kind of build of up pressure or gas anything.

On the right of your photo, you'll see a similar spigot branch with a blue disc inside the nut. This is a cap and is to block off the outlet when not required - you need same on the left hand branch!
