    theres no need for conduit, unless you need it for something else? im not sure what u mean by oval conduit, but if its normal bog standard conduit your'e on about then you can get a bending spring which you place inside and just bend the conduit to the desired angle, then withdraw the spring.

    I changed a 3 way valve over for a mate (im a sparky not a plumber!). For some reason the valve moves to the correct position when the buttons are pressed (i.e. moves to 'h' when heating is pressed, etc) but for some reason the boiler and pump only kick in when heating is selected. apparently...

    ring main socket wiring causing mains to trip

    yeah be careful not to touch the earth with the neutrals, this will cause the RCD to trip. 4 of each wire doesn't sound right, it sounds like you've got another 2 sockets spurred of that one socket, it should b ok (but not recommended) but if in future the power trips for no apparent reason...
