for knowledge does any ptfe tape ever go on the thread of the isolation valve if tape is on the olive??

i have both ptfe tape and the lsx stuff. if using ptfe tape how many times should i wrap it around, its 15 mm copper pipe on the end of the isolation valve?? also for the lsx stuff, if applying this do i have to let it dry for a hour before i tighten it up?? good point about the arrow...

kev jointing compund, is that the LSX stuff for leak sealer which comes in a yellow tube??

i have a isolation valve on the feed for the toilet. underneath the valve where the nut meet the copper pipe feed, i notice a weeping leak, which is so slow. i have changged the valve etc. should i be putting ptfe tape around the olive?? its driving me mad, am i better of putting a speed...

its all run in copper, including all bends. im just being cautious as im not a plumber, and want to make sure there are no leaks. if i run the system would a like be visible on any bends straight away or could it occur the following day etc>?

ive just installed some new copper pipe upstairs. i was careful, but if there was to be any leaks where i used fittings for bends, how soon would the leaks be noticeable, would it be straight away when running the c/h??

im installing a vanity unit in the bathroom. when i put the cupboard unit against the wall its not flush. my floor has a dip in it. the vanity unity touches the wall along the bottom, then as it goes up theres about a 20mm gap away frm the wall. i cant scribe it onto the wall as its fixed...

thanks seco. i have 2 plumb the pipes underneath the floorboards in2 the rad and thought it mattered which was flow and return :) sorry if my next question sounds silly, but the chrome rad valves i got, can they go on any side of the radiator, or are they specific?

im installing a chrome towel rad. when i connect the pipes in does it matter which side the flow and return goes into, as i cant remember which is the flow and return??
