I wondered if you could take out some of the expanded chip board below the veneer of the worktop and then glue in a metal joint? There is another metal joint on the other side of the worktop. So, it would not look out of place.

We have a uPVC main door that accumulates condensation on the inside. We put a 9 x 3 vent on it a couple of years ago which has not helped. Before I put an air brick in, what sort of size of vent would help? Should I put one at the top of the door and one at the bottom? Or any other...

thanks. I should have explained that this is a first floor, four in a block flat with its own staircase. But, point taken, it could come from other rooms in the flat. I was trying to work out whether this is condensation or damp penetration, any thoughts?
