Pressure washer, steam cleaner advice ????

Hi all, I'm looking to buy a pressure washer, preferably a steam one. I need it to clean block paving and general use, but seems that a hot washer may be out of my price range, so now looking at just a good pressure washer as obviously a lot cheaper. Does anyone recommend this or would you...

    Burnt cable

I'm sure I know what cable you mean, and it's not that, the cable is not that old even though the supply is the old black and red. It does seem more probable that the connections were not in tight enough.

    Burnt cable

Hi, does anyone know why this cable has burnt out? It's the supply to a 8kw shower, I could smell a bit of burning lately and when I've looked in the switch I found this, I'm sure the cables are about 6mm, the red and black is the cable from the board and the brown and blue go to the shower...

    External wall upvc

But this is ok right? Because there will be battens on top of the membrane and then the cladding leaving an air gap, does this conform to regs?

    External wall upvc

You stated before that it was not a approved way of construction via building regs? What's wrong with this way if there's adequate insulation, breathable and watertight?

    External wall upvc

Sorry I misled, it will be using upvc ship lap cladding, I was informed by celotex of insulation requirements when discussing the external wall, the wall can't be double skin because of space that I've got, how do you suggest i do it then? I was going to use 4x2 with 100 mm celotex between...

    External wall upvc

Anyone have any other ideas about battening on top of the breathable membrane to leave an air gap or just nail the upvc cladding straight to it?

    External wall upvc

Thanks for the reply, still apply the membrane straight to the ply and then batten?

    External wall upvc

Hi, I'm building an external wall from 4x2, I've been advised by celotex of the correct insulation that is needed to comform to regs which is 100mm celotex between joists and 12m plasterboard with 1" celotex ( havent got the paperwork infront of me of correct thickness but im sure it was 1")...

    Outside lights

this is very true and I am not about lecture, but you stated that you have 20 years of experience, the solution was simple, but beyond you, I suggest if I may that you just hold your hands up and say that your knowledge is limited and not to make claims on experience that bears no real truth in...
