Suspected pump failed in combi boiler.

Thanks, Ill take the pump back. Is there a way to diagnose the diverter valve other than running the hot water - which works fine. Ill run the existing pump out of the system tonight and see if it runs ok. If it does I won't bother replacing it.

Suspected pump failed in combi boiler.

Sorry I got the pumps wrong, Pump is UPR15-70. New is UPS0-15-60 (corrected on orig post) Boiler - Remeha 35c. About a meter from the boiler on the CH flow is a Honeywell 2 port actuator valve that isolates the rads from the extensions UFH. Ive manually moved this valve which makes no...

Suspected pump failed in combi boiler.

Came back off holiday and my hot water works fine but heating doesn't. Heating pipe gets red hot and after a few hours the first rad gets warm. Possibly by convection/conduction. So I suspected the pump which a recall was making some odd clicking noises before I went away. Ive listened to the...

    Leak into cavity wall

So you can see where the water appears. I can look up between the steels and see the DPC material. I will have to take a better picture of the flashing but you can see the edge of it in IMG_2846.jpeg.

    Leak into cavity wall

To clarify, I believe the 'tray' is black DPC that and can see. The flashing for the flat roof is cemented into the same course as this. When it rains I don't have issues, when its windy and raining I get the leak. Should the flashing be one course higher to prevent driving rain tracking in...

    Leak into cavity wall

Hello Bonni, thanks for the response. The tray you speak of is above this DPC that I can see by looking up the cavity. I dont know if the tray extends the full length of the extension. To be honest ive had the same issue with some of the windows where water fills the DPC thats in the cement...

    Internal stud wall vcl needed?

My next project is doing the stud work internal walls in my new build. I'm thinking of using 3x2 or 4x2 and filling the cavity with Celotex. Couple of questions. The building is of blockwork cavity construction with celotex insulation within the blockwork cavity. Internal partitions; 1...

    Sub floor in kitchen

@cbde. Yeh thats my prob. the dig at the beginning. The room is only 5x4m there was no insulation on the floor I dug out, just a tiled slab on dirt. it got really cold. I figured blocking the loss of the heat to ground and the cold coming back up would be much better than it was. Ive also...

    Sub floor in kitchen

I can keep going down, its just labour intensive. I was going to go with the 100mm kingspan i have left over from another job. So that sat on a visqueen sheet with a screed slab (approx 120mm) on top. Ill have to go deeper if i need a slab on dirt.

    Sub floor in kitchen

My kitchen floor has always been about 6" higher than the rest of the ground floor. Its always annoyed me so ive taken the kitchen out and dug it up. Ive removed about two tile layers between cement screeds so presumably its just been added to over the years. Ive got down to soil now which is...

Bridging cavity gap for floor insulation

Just coming back to this. Im worried about knocking out the inner leave as it appears to support the folding doors via metal brackets (see pic). Ive held of doing anything yet as with the recent rain the DPC membrane filled up with about a washing up bowls worth of water. I checked with the...
